At Cinc Food Parlour, we have made a conscious decision not to serve bottled mineral water for the sake of sustainability and environmental respect. We strive to minimize our use of plastic packaging. Instead, we offer microfiltered water in 750ml bottles.

This microfiltration process is carried out by Brita, a global leader in filtration systems. We rent a machine that filters and cools the water and can also carbonate it with CO2. However, there are costs associated with providing this service, including maintenance, regular cleaning of the pipes, filter replacements, and electricity expenses. Therefore, we are unable to offer water at no cost to our customers.

We understand that some customers may prefer tap water, which is why we always comply with Decree 18.3 of Law 7/2022, as well as common sense. According to these regulations, we serve tap water to all customers who request it without filtration or additional charges. We want to ensure everyone feels comfortable and satisfied dining at our café.

It’s important to clarify the reasons behind our pricing for water, as we have received a few negative reviews regarding this matter. We would like to address these concerns and offer an explanation. Firstly, some customers have expressed disappointment with the price they were charged for water, considering it excessive compared to its quality. We want to assure you that our microfiltered water meets high standards of quality and taste thanks to the advanced filtration system provided by Brita.

We genuinely apologize if there was any misunderstanding. Our intention is never to deceive our valued patrons. We have clearly stated our water policy and the associated costs. In fact, we encourage customers to explore alternatives and choose what suits them best.

Lastly, some customers have mentioned that they were charged for a glass of water without prior notice. We apologize for any confusion caused. Our pricing structure includes the cost of the microfiltered water service, which is why a charge is associated with it. However, we acknowledge that clearer communication regarding the pricing of water is necessary, and we will strive to improve in this area.
